Santos to hold 31 August council meeting on SDC Sports SAF proposal | OneFootball

Santos has called an Extraordinary meeting of its Deliberative Council on 31 August to present SDC Sports’ proposal for a possible Sociedade Anônima do Futebol, SAF, at the club.

According to Diario Do Peixe, the session was requested by the Management Committee, will run in a hybrid format, and will focus on SDC Sports’ presentation and its interest in advancing talks over a potential investment.

In February, Santos announced a non-binding agreement with SDC Sports LLC, a global investment platform focused on the long-term development of football clubs. That understanding granted exclusivity to begin negotiations over a possible investment in a Santos SAF.

The late August meeting represents another step in discussions between the parties.

There is, however, no confirmation that Santos will convert to a SAF or that a definitive investment deal has been concluded.

Councillors are set to examine details of SDC Sports’ proposal and the potential investment model during the session.
