Santos face São Paulo in the Brasileirão on Wednesday, 4 February 2026 at Estádio Urbano Caldeira, with the hosts trying to climb from 18th after a 4-2 opening defeat and the visitors looking to build on a 2-1 start that has them fourth.
Santos lost 4-2 at Chapecoense on matchday one, while São Paulo opened with a 2-1 win over Flamengo. The visitors also beat these opponents 2-0 in the Paulista on 31 January.
Peixe have one win in their last seven across the state league and the Brasileirão, drawing three in that run. Tricolor Paulista arrive on back-to-back wins and have scored in five of their last six matches.
Alvinegro Praiano list Neymar, Thaciano and Gustavo Henrique as injured. Soberano are without forwards André Silva and Ryan Francisco through injury.
Soberano could target a defence that conceded four in the league opener, having put two past Flamengo and two against these opponents in the recent Paulista meeting. Even so, Alvinegro Praiano did score twice at Chapecoense and could threaten if they tighten up in both boxes.
A win would take Peixe to three points and could lift them out of the relegation places. Victory for Tricolor Paulista would move them to six points and strengthen their grip on a Copa Libertadores spot.
