São Paulo prosecutors open criminal probe into Corinthians’ Incentiva contract | OneFootball

São Paulo’s public prosecutor, MP-SP, has opened a criminal probe into Corinthians’ contract with Incentiva, the firm behind Fiel da Sorte. Ge.globo first reported it.

The partnership ran from 2023 to April 2024, with weekly prize draws and experiences for Fiel Torcedor members. Publicity ended in April 2024, yet Corinthians kept paying monthly, totalling R$ 7,604,109.40 gross, or R$ 6,912,103.15 after income tax, into 2026.

After a member’s representation, prosecutors sought explanations within 10 working days. The opening order records that the club’s reply reinforced the need to investigate, noting an admission that Incentiva repeatedly breached the contract while payments continued without proof of service or oversight.

The file cites missing reports, unanswered messages since December 2025, and an extrajudicial notice on 1 June 2026 giving three working days to file the overdue documents.

Possible offences cited include fraud, theft, misappropriation, tax crime, false representation and criminal association, and Corinthians is treated as a victim. The MP will trace payments and authorisations, assess whether any money was returned to officials, scrutinise Incentiva’s address and partners, and gather information on Mário Barros, Rodrigo Gilotti and lawyer Carlos Alberto de Sá Romano.

Opened on 12 August 2026, the probe sets 10 working days for replies. Duilio Monteiro Alves said the deal sought new revenue via Fiel Torcedor plans with approved campaigns and company risk, while the current board said it ended the contract this year for breach and that payments since June 2025 followed club procedures.
