São Paulo prosecutors recommend 4,000 away tickets for Fluminense at Palmeiras Libertadores semi | OneFootball

The São Paulo Public Prosecutor's Office has recommended increasing Fluminense's away allocation to 4,000 for the Palmeiras tie on 21 October in the Conmebol Libertadores at Nubank Parque, and the guidance applies only to this match. According to Globo.com, the move follows a formal request from the Rio club.

Fluminense sought an exception from the authorities, citing competition rules that ask hosts in the semi-finals to make at least 4,000 tickets available to visiting fans.

Prosecutors Roberto Bacal and Daniela Hashimoto noted there is no significant record of off-pitch rivalry between the organised groups of the two clubs.

Palmeiras are awaiting Military Police approval, with stadium adjustments requested before any sign-off. Currently, a public security ruling limits the away section at Nubank Parque to around 2,000.

In recent semi-finals, with Palmeiras reaching six of the last seven, clubs agreed to cap away allocations at about 2,000 for both legs. Fluminense have pressed for the regulation to be observed this time.

In response, Palmeiras have asked Conmebol for reciprocity, seeking 10% of Maracanã's capacity for their supporters.

Since 4,000 is roughly 10% of Nubank Parque's capacity, that would equate to just over 6,000 tickets for Palmeiras for the first leg in Rio on 14 October. A decision on any increase there has not yet been made.
