São Paulo clinched the 2026 Brasileirão Feminino. According to Globo.com, the champions banked a record R$ 2 million, an increase of R$ 200,000 on 2025.
After coming from behind to win the first leg 2-1 in Itaquera, they ended Corinthians' historic home unbeaten run. A 1-1 draw at Morumbis sealed the trophy before 49,405 fans, a record attendance for women's club matches between Brazilian sides.
Corinthians received R$ 1 million as runners-up, up from R$ 900,000 in 2025. The CBF has increased all quotas compared with previous years.
Each of the 18 clubs also earned R$ 720,000 for participation, plus R$ 20,000 for every match shown on national television.
The triumph halts Corinthians' dominance, with the Brabas pursuing a seventh successive title and an eighth overall.
It is São Paulo's first crown in the current format. They also won a national championship in 1997, a competition that ran until 2001, then returned 12 years later.
The league awards two berths in the 2027 Libertadores, so São Paulo and Corinthians are assured of places in the continental tournament.
