Sasa Lukic completes Ipswich medical before £9m switch from Fulham | OneFootball

Sasa Lukic has completed a medical ahead of joining Ipswich Town from Fulham. According to NY Times, the 29-year-old is moving to Portman Road in a package worth £9m ($12.1m) and, if all goes to plan, will sign a four-year contract.

Lukic would be Ipswich’s second arrival from Fulham this summer, following centre-back Issa Diop’s move in July. Ipswich also signed midfielder Florentino Luis from Burnley for an initial £16m plus £3m in add-ons.

Florentino and Lukic bolster Gary O’Neil’s midfield after loan deals for Jens Cajuste and Dan Neil ended last season. Azor Matusiwa and Jack Taylor underwent surgery on muscle and knee injuries after the 2025-26 campaign and have yet to feature in pre-season.

Lukic joined Fulham from Torino in January 2023 and was under contract at Craven Cottage until 2027 with an option for a further year. He made 30 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring two and supplying two assists.

Ipswich are preparing for their return to the Premier League after last season’s promotion. Head coach Kieran McKenna stepped down this summer, with O’Neil appointed as his replacement.

Fulham have signed striker Gonzalo Garcia and midfielder Cesar Palacios from Real Madrid for a combined €50m (£42.9m, $57.4m), reuniting the pair with new head coach Alvaro Arbeloa, appointed in July. Attacking midfielder Harry Wilson and striker Raul Jimenez have left following the expiry of their contracts.
