With Hakan Calhanoglu and Nicolo Barella in the pits, Cristian Chivu trusted Zielinski to organize Inter’s play.

Meanwhile, the 31-year-old answered the call once again, delivering a commanding display that underlined his importance to the Nerazzurri setup.

Despite failing to put his name on the board, Zielinski was nothing short of impressive.

Zielinski’s excellent showing cemented his first-team status this season, with the Pole becoming instrumental to Inter’s build-up play.

On the other hand, Marcus Thuram snapped his four-game scoring drought in Serie A with a clinical finish to make it 2-0.

Indeed, the Frenchman returned to his best after several underwhelming performances, hitting his stride at an opportune moment.

With Juventus set to test Inter’s Scudetto credentials, Thuram’s return to form can inspire confidence at Stadio San Siro.
