Ryunosuke Sato will become a Valencia player in the coming hours after landing at Manises at midday. According to AS, the Japanese arrived from Tokyo via Munich and will be the club’s third signing after Justin De Haas and Guido Rodríguez.
He will undergo a medical before signing his deal, which will tie him to the club for the coming seasons. He is scheduled to join training with his team-mates from tomorrow at the Ciudad Deportiva de Paterna.
He said farewell to his supporters last week at an event attended by several hundred fans. He is regarded as one of the leading prospects in Japanese football and will become the first player from Japan to play for Valencia’s first team.
Sato said Valencia is a great club and that he had spoken to Corberán before making the move. He added that he arrives eager and very excited to play for a great club like Valencia.
His presence in the city prompted significant media interest.
