Can Alan find more winners on Saturday?
Lincoln are not far off a title chance and a big one and a third win on the spin last Saturday sealed another winning multiple for this column.
It was hard fought, 0-1 at Wigan, with just 238 completed passes versus Wigan's 524 and just 35% of the ball. But despite all Wigan's efforts and probing, they didn't really have anything in the final third to trouble a superb defence.
Lincoln are a fair price considering they haven't lost a game in the League One since November, and were 3-2 winners against the Pilgrims earlier in the season - once again with hardly any of the ball.
Including an FA Cup success, Mansfield had put together five wins on the spin at one stage, but their last three have all resulted in draws (1-1, 1-1 and 0-0).
Exeter are unbeaten across their last four away league games (W2 D2), after losing 11 of their prior 13 (W2). The Grecians will be looking to score 2+ goals in four successive away league games for the first time since April 2024.
Despite that stat, it's hard to see Mansfield losing here. The weekend 0-0 v Wycombe saw them create very little on the chances front with a terrible 0.28 xG, but Wycombe when on song are a strong opponent.
"It was a tough slog and we did not play very well," reflected Stags boss Nigel Clough after.
"There were a lot of tired legs out there after the week we have had, battling away at Stevenage and Plymouth with a lot of hours on the bus as well. You could see everyone was a bit jaded."
I may have suggested, in a rather tongue-in-cheek way recently, regarding Liam Manning and his penchant for "LinkedIn language, but what shouldn't be mocked or looked at sideways are the results.
Manning's appointment since Lee Grant was sacked has seen a charge of three straight wins. The pair of 1-0s including one over Luton would have pleased Manning, likewise the three goals at Peterborough on Saturday with an 89th minute winner.
Again, like most of the top half teams in League One, Huddersfield play counter-attack football successfully, while Blackpool have lost five of their last six league games (L1), failing to score during a 1-0 loss to Luton last time out. It was the first time since November 29th that the Tangerines had failed to score in a League One.
Swindon's eight wins at home makes them are a must bet this weekend, especially as the Match Odds 90 price is a shade of odds-against - which surprises me. I'd have it 10/11 or shorter.
Ian Holloway has exploded of late in post-match interviews, but his side have lost just two of their last 12 home games in League Two (W7 D3), scoring multiple goals in nine of those 12 matches.
They've always scored goals and with Oldham's usually tight defence recently breached by Barnet who scored three, they face a team with a season xG of 1.45 with Oldham's own xA of 1.43.
We're playing short here, and while Shrewsbury have handed another new manager the impossible job, their away record is dismal and can easily be opposed here.
Away from home, Shrewsbury have won just once, losing ten, and scored 12 and conceded 32. They've collected just six points from their 14 away games in League Two this season (W1 D3 L10), the fewest of any side this term. It's one of the worst records to go to war with.
Colchester United have lost just one of their last nine league games against Shrewsbury Town (W3 D5), keeping a clean sheet in each of the last two meetings with The Shrews (0-0 and 2-0).
If you thought Shrewsbury were bad, look at Harrogate. Eighteen points from 30 games and have lost nine of their last 10 to remain firmly rooted to the foot of the table - that's some achievement with fellow strugglers Newport in this division.
Cambridge United have won six league games in a row and are looking to equal their longest winning streak in the Football League - seven consecutive wins from February to April 1977.
U's Ben Knight has been involved in six goals in his five appearances in League Two in 2026 (5 goals, 1 assist), scoring in each of his last three appearances in the league and might for conceded for any doubles looking to boost the price of the visitors.
Including them in the treble gives us 4/1.
