Saudi clubs monitor Cuiabano, but full-back prioritises staying at Vasco | OneFootball

Three Saudi clubs have been monitoring Cuiabano’s situation at Vasco for a month, with an intermediary attending his last two matches.

According to Globo.com, they are seeking clarity on Nottingham Forest, who own his rights, and are weighing moves for the December to January window.

Despite the interest, the full-back’s priority is to stay at Vasco, either on a renewed loan or via a permanent deal. He is settled in Rio de Janeiro, his family do not wish to leave, and president Pedrinho has told him keeping him is a board priority.

Vasco hold a 10 million euros purchase option, around R$ 58.5 million.

On the pitch, Cuiabano started brightly under Renato Gaúcho, contributing goals and assists. He recorded five goal involvements in his early outings.

In the second half of the season he faced medical issues and missed one month under Pedro Emanuel, during which Lucas Piton performed well. Once fit, he regained his starting place and featured regularly.

Vasco’s football department value him highly, viewing him as physically strong and technically assured, already fit for Série A with significant room to grow. The club are also satisfied with the full-backs available in the squad.
