The Saudi Fund for Development SFD & FIFA have signed major development focused Memorandum of Understanding.

Launching global partnership designed to enhance sports infrastructure across developing and least developed countries through affordable development loans.

Under the new memorandum of understanding.. the SFD will allocate 1 billion dollars in concessional development loans to support essential sports infrastructure projects from stadium renovation & training facilities to youth development spaces.

The initiative aims to:

  • Boost economic & social development through sport.
  • Empower youth & expand opportunities in emerging markets.
  • Enhance community cohesion & cultural connection.
  • Support sustainable growth in the global sports sector..
  • Strengthen infrastructure and capacity building in underserved regions.

This collaboration falls within the SFD’s broader development mission which has been active since 1975 and has financed more than 800 project worth over 22 billion dollar worldwide.
