Schalke ‘to target’ Sasa Kalajdzic amid uncertainty over Wolves future | OneFootball

Schalke, newly promoted to the Bundesliga, are considering a move for Sasa Kalajdzic amid uncertainty over his Wolves future, OE 24 reports.

Kalajdzic is said to be a key topic for Schalke’s Austrian head coach Miron Muslic.

The striker spent 2025/26 on loan at LASK, staying fit and earning regular minutes. He made 27 appearances, totalling 1716 minutes.

He produced seven goals and 11 assists, helping LASK win a league and cup double. He even scored from inside his own half last month.

Kalajdzic previously played in the Bundesliga with Stuttgart and has 22 goals in 56 games. He is set to return to Wolves this summer with only one year left on his contract. The club may consider a sale to recoup part of the £15 million fee.

Rob Edwards may feel he can use him, but the Championship is demanding and his injury record is a concern. It is perhaps doubtful he could be a regular starter next season. He is heading to the World Cup with Austria after his improved form, so any movement may wait until after the tournament.
