Scott Parker is remaining calm about his side's prospects despite Burnley being on a five-game losing streak.
The Clarets fell to a 1-0 defeat at home to Crystal Palace last time out after Daniel Muñoz netted just before half-time.
The Burnley boss isn't ready to panic just yet even with his side facing a tough trip to Newcastle United where Parker spent two seasons as a player.
"I really do feel like we are a result away from turning this around," Parker said in his pre-match press conference.
"We have been really close and had nearly moments. These nearly moments are something we are going to have to fix.
"Games are not going to run away from us and we have been really competitive and stayed in the games. We just need a result and to continue the good things that get us those results."
Burnley find themselves with just 10 points after 14 games in the league and are currently four points behind Leeds United but the manager is not panicking just yet.
"I am quite calm and rational. The biggest job for me is keeping the players in that calm state of mind throughout. I genuinely feel a real calmness around the club.
"Keeping the players focused mentally was always going to be a main focus for me this year. My job is to keep things very stable and give the players belief."
Burnley have not won against Newcastle since Sean Dyche's side won at home in December 2019 but are yet to win away to the Magpies since April 1976 when Peter Noble scored in a 1-0 win.
