Sean Dyche believes Nottingham Forest are not under pressure to sell Elliot Anderson this summer and says a departure is not inevitable. The midfielder is admired by Manchester City and Manchester United ahead of the window.

"He's a very good player. I still think he's got lots to learn. I think the nuts and bolts of his game are something that he's got to do better, but he's a very, very, good player without a shadow of a doubt, and he has got more to come. I hope he can continue to play with freedom," said Dyche, speaking to the Manchester Evening News.

The 23-year-old made 50 appearances during a demanding season at the City Ground. Interest from City and United persists as clubs weigh a substantial fee for a player yet to hit his peak.

"Well that's up to [Forest], I mean they've kept hold of other players. I don't think they're under pressure, certainly not from the ownership there, they're not under pressure. I don't think they'll be under pressure in the sense to sell. Whether they sell or not will be under their control."

Dyche managed Forest from October 2025 to February, winning 10 of 25 matches. Anderson remains in the spotlight this summer as speculation continues over his next step.
