OM have ruled out Nayef Aguerd and Hamed Traoré for the rest of the season. The club said in a statement that the injured central defender and attacking midfielder have been permitted to leave Marseille to continue treatment.

Aguerd will travel to Morocco to continue his rehabilitation in collaboration with his national team’s medical staff.

Hampered by pubalgia, Aguerd has played little for Marseille this season and underwent an operation in March. He hopes to feature at the World Cup, scheduled for 11 June-19 July, with Morocco.

Traoré will head to Finland to be treated by a specialist in adductor pathologies, with a view to surgery.

His Marseille campaign has also been disrupted by a series of physical problems.
