After AS Monaco’s historic 6-1 defeat at Real Madrid, Sébastien Pocognoli said his side need an “electroshock” and a very quick reaction.

According to Get French Football News, he confirmed a club-wide meeting in Madrid after the game, involving the sporting departments, to move in the right direction, which he described as positive.

Folarin Balogun said the players also held a separate meeting, calling it an open and solution-focused discussion that he viewed positively.

Pocognoli suggested the jolt could bring more rigour and collective spirit. He insisted there will be no choosing of matches, with Le Havre AC on Saturday before a decisive UEFA Champions League tie against Juventus on Wednesday.

The Belgian defended both his audacious plan against Real Madrid and his communication, saying defeats must be taken positively and that results will come, which he hopes will be with him if belief is shared.

He added that training levels do not reflect a team on a losing run and he does not see a dressing room cracking, though he warned that a prolonged negative streak would make things difficult. It is a pivotal week as he looks for results to ease the pressure.
