Uli Hoeneß, member of Bayern Munich's supervisory board has taken aim at Real Madrid ahead of next month's Champions League quarter-final showdown.
“They don't play very good football, but they are outstanding in terms of experience; they are in peak physical condition," Hoeneß said, speaking at a German press agency (DPA) meeting.
"They are once again not doing so well in the league [2nd-place in La Liga behind Barcelona], but they can rely on their wealth of experience.
“It would be totally presumptuous to assume that we'll definitely advance, but we haven't had such a big chance in terms of playing quality as this year for a long time,” he added.
When asked about the Bavarians completing a possible treble, Hoeneß remained cautious ahead of a big two and a half months of football to come.
“That's too optimistic. I would say we'll be German champions. The cup semifinal in Leverkusen will be tough. And you can't just say you'll win the Champions League," he said.
