Having joined Amiens this summer, Aboubacar Lô has quickly found his place within the Ligue 2 squad. The Senegalese player gave an interview to his club’s official website, where he revealed, among other things, his football role models.
"I really like the way Marquinhos plays at Paris SG, and Edmond Tapsoba at Bayer Leverkusen," said the former Metz player before sharing his passion for defending: "Yes! Defending brings real joy. I love serving my teammates, helping them, supporting them, and being there behind them. For me, a defender has to enjoy defending, otherwise it just doesn't work."
The Dakar native was also asked about the role Omar Daf played in his move to the club: "The coach is a legend in Senegal, but this was really a very personal decision. My contract at Metz was ending, and they offered me an extension, but I wanted to sign with Amiens because the club’s project interested me. I also wanted to experience something new and challenge myself."
The 25-year-old center-back has played five Ligue 2 matches this season. He is tied to the Picardy club with a contract running until June 2027.
