Serginho converts late as Santa Clara snatch point at Tondela

Tondela and Santa Clara drew 2-2 at Estádio João Cardoso, a late penalty rescuing the visitors and leaving both clubs still in the relegation places.

In the 10th minute, Bebeto converted from the spot after Sidney Lima fouled Pedro Henryque. Gabriel Silva levelled (15.) with a strike from outside the box.

After the restart, Rodrigo Conceição restored the lead (60.), sweeping into the bottom right after a break led by Joe Hodge.

Serginho drew a penalty when Benjamin Mbunga-Kimpioka fouled him, then slotted the equaliser (88.).

Gabriel Batista preserved the point with a save from Makan Aïko in the seventh minute of second half stoppage time.

Santa Clara saw more of the ball, holding 58% possession and registering 17 attempts, three on target. Tondela produced 11 attempts, testing the goalkeeper four times.
