Sergio Díaz has given América a boost by making his return from injury with the club’s U-20 side.
The striker was introduced as a substitute in the Azulcrema’s rescheduled clash with Pachuca.
Despite his introduction and his contribution of an assist, the Paraguay international couldn’t help halt the young Eagles’ dreadful run of results as they slipped to a 5-2 defeat.
The 22-year-old has missed the last six Guard1anes 2020 games after sustaining a leg injury in training.
Díaz has struggled to make an impression with Las Águilas since signing on loan from Real Madrid in August.
He will be hoping that he showed first-team manager Miguel Herrera enough on Sunday to be considered for the crunch clash against leaders León on Monday week.
