The Serie A summer transfer window closed on Tuesday, 1 September at 20:00 CET. According to Football Italia, Italian clubs completed a raft of deals across the division.

Inter added Stones on a free, brought back Pavard and made Akanji permanent, with Provedel also arriving. Dumfries left for Real Madrid, de Vrij moved to Panathinaikos and Frattesi joined Lazio on loan.

Juventus secured Vicario on loan and signed Lucumi and Kolo Muani, while Pepe Sarr and Grabara arrived on loans. Vlahovic and Kostic departed as free agents, and David moved to Atletico Madrid on loan.

Elsewhere, Bologna recruited Theate and Piccoli on loan. Genoa signed Sow and made Colombo permanent. Cagliari brought in Winks and Gagliardini, Como added Chalobah and Kean, and Udinese picked up Vojvoda and Gomez.
