Maurizio Sarri could have options if he leaves Lazio in the summer after a turbulent season. The 67-year-old has pledged to see out the campaign, but his next move remains undecided after a year marked by tensions with supporters and a stadium boycott.
Il Messaggero reports that Sarri has not ruled out remaining beyond this season if Claudio Lotito keeps him, though he wants guarantees. He was irritated by last summer's transfer ban and January sales, and would seek a more ambitious recruitment drive.
Several Serie A clubs are monitoring the situation, with Fiorentina seen as the most attentive and also Lazio’s next league opponents. Paolo Vanoli has steadied the side after a disastrous start under Stefano Pioli, yet the club could look for a more experienced coach.
Sarri is well liked among the Viola support. Fabio Paratici has recently become sporting director, and he previously hired Sarri at Juventus in 2019 before a breakdown in relations ended with his sacking in August 2020.
Elsewhere, AC Milan, Bologna and Atalanta are also credited with interest, as are former employers Napoli, who could part ways with Antonio Conte.
