Cesc Fagregas was forced to cope without Como star Nico Paz, so Maxence Caqueret, Assane Diao, and Martin Maturina started behind the sole striker Anastasios Douvikas.

Como 1-0 Parma match report

Como dominated possession and had the best chance throughout the game against a Parma side that mostly relied on counter-attacks to hurt the home side.

Como collected several corner kicks before the break and were unlucky towards the end of the first half, hitting the woodwork with Greece international Douvikas, their top scorer this season.

The Azzurri continued to push in the second half: Diao won the ball high up the pitch, but his shot from inside the box was too weak, allowing Suzuki to intervene and deny Douvikas on the rebound.

Como hit the post again, this time with a Martin Baturina free-kick, but the move continued and led to Alberto Moreno’s goal with a curler at the far post.

Parma scored the equaliser with Mateo Pellegrino from a free-kick routine, but it was disallowed due to offside.

Como introduced Alvaro Morata, and the Spaniard missed the chance to score his first Serie A goal this season, all alone in front of Suzuki.

Como’s win allows the Azzurri to move to 5th, still two points below a Champions League spot and ahead of Juventus thanks to a better head-to-head record.
