From a Liverpool supporter perspective, this is one of those reports that immediately grabs attention because Curtis Jones has always felt like more than a squad player. He is a local lad, technically secure, tactically intelligent and capable of covering different midfield functions. That gives him a value beyond basic minutes played.

At the same time, if a player genuinely wants the move, Liverpool have to assess the situation pragmatically. There is little sense in keeping someone against their wishes if the offer is right and if Iraola believes the midfield can be reshaped in a better way. Jones has quality, but supporters will also know his Liverpool career has often hovered between promise and permanence, without ever fully locking down one defining role.

Inter Milan could suit him. The slower rhythm, the tactical structure and the prestige of a major move abroad all make sense. For Liverpool fans, the key concern would be whether selling Jones weakens depth at a point when the squad still needs clarity in several areas.

There would probably be mixed emotions. Many would want him to stay and thrive under Iraola. Others would accept that the right transfer can work for everyone.
