Serie A official line-ups: Atalanta vs. Fiorentina

Raffaele Palladino faces his former club on his home debut for Atalanta with Ademola Lookman and Gianluca Scamacca against Fiorentina in crisis with Moise Kean.

Palladino decided to leave Fiorentina by mutual consent over the summer after just one season, and they have struggled badly ever since.

Meanwhile, he took on a new role with Atalanta, making his debut in a 3-1 defeat at Napoli last week, then earning a massive 3-0 Champions League success away to Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday.

Now he has his first home game for La Dea and it is against his former club, with a full squad to choose from other than Giorgio Scalvini and Mitchel Bakker.

Scamacca is finding full fitness at last after a year of injury problems and is again supported by Lookman and Charles De Ketelaere, as this is the exact same starting XI that won in Frankfurt.

Atalanta are without a Serie A victory since September 29 away to Torino, while Fiorentina have still not earned a single domestic win.

Fiorentina’s crisis just keeps going from bad to worse after sacking Stefano Pioli and having one game under caretaker manager Daniele Galloppa.

New boss Paolo Vanoli had two draws against Genoa and Juventus, before the disappointing 1-0 home defeat to AEK Athens on Thursday in the Conference League.

Edin Dzeko raged at the fans after that game for not ‘helping’ the team by jeering every error, so the atmosphere is extremely tense.

Robin Gosens and Tariq Lamptey did not make the trip, but after squad rotation midweek, Kean returns to lead the attack with Roberto Piccoli, sending sluggish Albert Gudmundsson to the bench.

Dodo has shaken off a knock and is available again.
