Serie A official line-ups: Inter vs. Lazio

Inter start Ange-Yoan Bonny and Petar Sucic with Lautaro Martinez, as they host Lazio’s Gustav Isaksen and Mattia Zaccagni with a chance to go top.

The Nerazzurri closed to within a point of leaders Napoli last week and also maintained their perfect Champions League start, albeit with more difficulty than expected to squeeze past Kairat Almaty.

Marcus Thuram made his comeback off the bench and was expected to get his first start in six weeks after that calf injury, but instead Bonny is picked to partner Lautaro Martinez.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Matteo Darmian and Raffaele Di Gennaro are still out of action, so Petar Sucic steps into midfield with Hakan Calhanoglu and Nicolò Barella.

Francesco Acerbi returns in defence to face his former club.

Considering Napoli lost to Bologna and Milan were held to a 2-2 draw at Parma, this is a big opportunity for Inter to go clear at the top of the table.

Lazio have an ever-growing injury crisis to deal with, but it hasn’t slowed their progress so far this season, as they are unbeaten in six with four consecutive clean sheets.

Nuno Tavares, Matteo Cancellieri, Taty Castellanos, Samuel Gigot, Nicolò Rovella and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru are on the treatment table.

There was also a major doubt over the fitness of Alessio Romagnoli, who is struggling with a right thigh issue, but he is given the all-clear to start.

Boulaye Dia is flanked by Isaksen and Zaccagni in Maurizio Sarri’s traditional 4-3-3 formation.
