This is an early Scudetto showdown, as both teams started the season with back-to-back victories, even if the performances weren’t always convincing.

Juve’s injury crisis just keeps getting worse, because Andrea Cambiaso and deadline day signing Pape Matar Sarr join Kenan Yildiz, Khephren Thuram, Weston McKennie, Jeff Ekhator and Juan Cabal on the treatment table.

Arkadiusz Milik has also been cut from the Serie A squad list, so Kerim Alajbegovic finally gets his first start, preferred to Jeremie Boga.

Nico Gonzalez steps in after his impressive substitute performances, joining Francisco Conceicao in support of Kolo Muani.

Summer buys Guglielmo Vicario and Jhon Lucumi also play in defence, with former Milan man Pierre Kalulu, and new arrival Nick Woltemade ready for his debut.

Ruben Amorim loses Matteo Gabbia to an ankle injury, but does have Modric and ex-Juventus star Rabiot ready to start after easing them back from the World Cup.

Diego Moreira finally makes his debut, after sitting on the bench for two full matches, with Alexis Saelemaekers and Rabiot supporting Goncalo Ramos.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Davide Bartesaghi and impressive teenager Alphadjo Cisse drop out of the starting XI.

Milan have not beaten Juventus in Serie A since a 1-0 result here in May 2023, followed by four 0-0 draws and a 2-0 defeat.
