Lecce left-back Patrick Dorgu is ready to say ‘yes’ to Arsenal if they make a juicy offer this summer, according to Italian outlet Pianeta Lecce.

The Gunners watched the 19-year-old several times last season as he played 34 times across all competitions, and the Serie A club are holding out for €30 million.

Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool have also been following Dorgu for months, but the Gunners are in pole position to sign him.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta believes Dorgu’s defensive and attacking qualities make him capable of strengthening the left flank.

The teenage sensation impressed Arsenal scouts who watched him against Fiorentina and Sassuolo as he scored in both games.

They are expected to reach out to his representatives to make further enquiries about what a transfer will entail.

Arsenal are eager to bolster their options on the left, and landing Dorgu will help them with their squad depth, as he can also play as a right winger.

The Gunners are closing in on the signing of Bologna centre-back Riccardo Calafiori and the Lecce star appears to be next on their radar.

Arsenal were unable to call upon Jurrien Timber last season, while Oleksandr Zinchenko did not always impress.

Takehiro Tomiyasu also struggled with his fitness at times and Arteta appears desperate to bring in other quality options.

Dorgu fits the bill, but it is unclear whether Arsenal are ready to spend €30m on a player who has played just one season of professional football.
