Paolo Vanoli has overhauled Fiorentina’s XI for his second debut in charge away to Venezia on Friday. Both teams are still chasing a first win of the 2026-27 Serie A season.

According to Football Italia, Fiorentina have already sacked Fabio Grosso and reinstated his predecessor, Vanoli. After a miserable 2025-26, the club spent heavily over the summer.

The Viola have started with three defeats, including 4-0 to Roma and 2-1 at home to Torino, leaving them bottom. Newly-promoted Venezia lost to Lecce, Milan and Frosinone, so remain on zero points with a goal difference of -5.

Vanoli has changed half the side that lost to Torino, with Alex Jimenez, Luca Ranieri, Arthur Atta, Cher Ndour and Beto replacing Joao Mario, Victor Valdepenas, Christ Inao Oulai, Marco Brescianini and Mateo Pellegrino. Beto makes his full debut after a late-summer move from Everton.

Venezia have also shuffled, bringing in Matias Moreno to the back three, Richi Sagrado at left wing-back and John Yeboah up front for Albion Rrahmani.

Kick-off is at 19.45 BST. Venezia set up three-five-two with Stankovic in goal, Schingtienne, Moreno and Haps behind Hainaut, Kike Perez, Busio, Sohm and Sagrado, Yeboah partnering Adams.

Fiorentina go four-three-three, De Gea, Jimenez, Dragusin, Viery and Ranieri in defence, Ndour, Fagioli and Atta in midfield, Mastantuono, Beto and Njie in attack.
