Sevilla star ‘on the verge’ of move to Serie A | OneFootball

A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga outfit Sevilla is all set to take his talents to Italy. This comes amid the understanding that Genoa have a deal all but in place to land Djibril Sow.

Sow has for his part been linked with a whole host of clubs across Europe over the course of the summer to date.

After impressing for Switzerland en route to the country’s World Cup exit at the hands of Argentina, the 29-year-old has in turn been tipped as something of a painful sale for a Sevilla outfit in search of much-needed funds.

Talks were recently opened with the brass at the aforementioned Genoa, over a permanent move for Sow to Serie A. And as alluded to above, on Tuesday, an agreement between the parties on the terms of a transfer appears closer than ever before.

As per a report from market insider Matteo Moretto:

‘Djibril Sow to Genoa, on the verge of being finalized. Negotiations with Sevilla are nearly sealed. Important signing for the Italian club, which has won the race to sign the Swiss midfielder following his excellent performance in the recent World Cup.’
