Kelechi Iheanacho has reignited his career at Bursaspor in Türkiye, his prolific start prompting an international recall after a troubled Sevilla stint.

According to La Colina De Nervion, the Nigerian has rediscovered confidence with the second-tier club and is back in Nigeria’s squad for the current international window. He has 11 goals and two assists in eight games.

He joined Sevilla in summer 2024 as a free agent, with Víctor Orta backing the move after early promise in England. Leicester City paid more than 27 million euros to sign him from Manchester City in 2017.

His time in Seville was brief. He played 11 times, nine in LaLiga and two in the Copa del Rey, then left on loan to Middlesbrough in January, scoring once in 15 games.
