Sevilla have revived interest in Chelsea forward Deivid Washington as a late option to reinforce their attack in the final days of the window.
According to Zona Mixta, the 21-year-old Brazilian is being considered for a season-long loan, a route that matches the club’s plan to add a young loanee to Luis García Plaza’s squad.
The need for alternatives has grown after other targets moved away. Petar Ratkov is close to joining Levante on loan from Lazio despite initially prioritising Sevilla. Conrad Harder is heading to RC Strasbourg with academy product Oso, and George Ilenikhena, owned by Al-Ittihad, remains largely ruled out.
Sevilla have therefore reactivated profiles previously assessed, with more experienced options such as Joselu Mato pushed into the background.
Washington, born on 5 June 2005, came through at Grêmio and Santos, debuting for Santos in 2023 and scoring his first goal in Brazil’s Serie A that year. He joined Chelsea in August 2023 for about 16 million euros on a contract running to 2030, has had limited first-team minutes and largely featured for the Under-21s. In 2025 he returned to Santos on loan, playing around 18 games and scoring once before heading back to London.
A Brazil youth international including under-20 level, he stands 1.87 metres, is right footed and can also play wide. His aerial strength and ability to protect the ball stand out, allied to sound technique to link play and operate outside the box.
