Mamelodi Sundowns striker Peter Shalulile scored a hattrick as the Namibian national team cruised to a comfortable 3-0 victory over Sao Tome and Principe.
The prolific center-forward opened the scoring on the stroke of halftime before doubling his tally seven minutes after the hour mark. He completed his hattrick in the 71st minute.
This saw the Brave Warriors keep their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification hopes alive as they remain in second place in group F, with two matches to go.
Having accumulated 15 points, Namibia trail already-qualified table toppers Tunisia with a staggering seven points, while retaining a four-point gap over third-placed Liberia.
Interestingly, they will face Liberia next month, before rounding up their group phase campaign with a visit to Tunisia.
Meanwhile, for Shalulile, the hattrick is another milestone after he recently broke the PSL all-time top goal scorer record with 130 goals to his name.
The 31-year-old surpassed retired South African football legend Siyabonga Nomvethe, who is now in second place on the illustrious list, having scored 129 goals.
