Last winter, Shavy Babicka was on the verge of being loaned to Legia Warsaw, but the transfer ultimately fell through. According to Przegląd Sportowy Onet, it was a goal he scored in Ligue 1 with Toulouse that convinced the French club to keep the forward.

At the time, Legia Warsaw was searching for a new striker. Coach Gonçalo Feio had approved Babicka's arrival, but after his goal against Saint-Étienne in December, Toulouse made the decision to retain him, thereby cancelling the loan deal.

In the end, the Gabonese forward left the following summer for Crvena zvezda for four million euros. His season there proved challenging, with only five appearances due to injuries.
