Paris Saint-Germain have stepped up their interest in Ferran Torres, but Barcelona are still waiting for the French champions to put a formal offer on the table for the forward, reports Mundo Deportivo.
In the last few days, there has been increasing talk about a potential €50 million deal for the Barcelona player.
However, that figure does not currently represent an official proposal, with PSG yet to make an official bid to the Catalan club.
The situation leaves Ferran Torres’ future open, despite reports suggesting that the 26-year-old already has an agreement in place with PSG.

According to the outlet, PSG have already contacted Barcelona to officially communicate their interest in signing Ferran Torres, although there is a difference between expressing an interest and submitting an offer.
At present, Barcelona have nothing concrete to evaluate.
That is why the €50 million figure being discussed by the French media should be treated with caution, as Barcelona are still waiting for that interest to become a formal proposal.
Notably, Ferran is expected to return to Barcelona training next Wednesday, August 12, alongside the rest of the players returning from the World Cup.

One factor that could help move the Ferran Torres transfer forward is the player’s own position.
There has been talk that the Barcelona forward would prefer to avoid returning to training with the club if his future is going to be decided elsewhere.
For Barcelona, however, they need PSG to turn their interest into a concrete offer before they can properly assess whether a transfer makes sense.
For now, PSG have made their interest known, but Barcelona are still waiting for the offer.
