Shaw named December's PFA Fans' POTM | OneFootball

Khadija 'Bunny' Shaw has been named PFA WSL Fans' Player of the Month for December.

The Jamaican saw off competition from team-mates Vivianne Miedema and Aoba Fujino, as well as Everton’s Honoka Hayashi, Spurs’ Olivia Holdt and Arsenal’s Katie McCabe.

Shaw grabbed an incredible six goals in just two WSL matches across December, becoming City’s first-ever 100-goal player in the process.

She began the month with a brace in our 3-0 win over Leicester City, breaking the deadlock with 15 to play after pouncing on a defensive error.

Our number nine doubled the advantage soon after, before feeding Kerolin for our third at the King Power Stadium deep into stoppage time.

Her brace against Leicester took her goal tally to 99, and she reached a historic century the following week against Aston Villa.

Not content with just one goal at the Joie Stadium, Shaw went on to grab four en route to a 6-1 win over the Villans, with Miedema and Fujino also on target in the rout.

Everyone at City would like to congratulate Bunny on being named December’s PFA WSL Fans’ Player of the Month.
