According to Sky Sports (10.22), the Blades want to sign the right-back on a temporary basis before the market closes on Tuesday.

The 24-year-old’s future has been the subject of speculation throughout the transfer window following the Tigers’ promotion to the Premier League.

The former Leeds United player made 22 appearances in the Championship last season, with Sergej Jakirovic’s side earning a place in the top flight through the play-offs.

Drameh came off the bench in Hull’s opening league game of the new season, as they won 2-0 at home to Manchester United.

But he could yet make the move away from the MKM Stadium before the market closes next week.

It’s believed that Sheffield United are keen on a loan deal for Drameh, as they look to bolster their defensive options.

The full-back was linked with a move to Stoke City and Preston North End earlier this month, but it was considered that staying at the MKM Stadium was more likely.

It was claimed that it would have to take a more attractive option for him to make the move away from Hull.

It remains to be seen whether Sheffield United can convince him to make the switch to Bramall Lane ahead of Tuesday’s deadline.

A number of Premier League sides have also shown an interest in a deal for the 24-year-old, but no concrete offers have been made.

Drameh signed for Hull in the 2024 summer transfer window, and he is now into the final year of his deal with the club, although the Tigers have the option to extend it by a further 12 months.

How Sheffield United fans feel about Cody Drameh signing

Sheffield United fans have expressed their concerns over what this potential move means for Femi Seriki.

The Blades have been told that this deal doesn’t make any sense unless the full-back is out long-term.

And other supporters have also warned against adding another journey man into the squad, indicating that Drameh’s arrival won’t impress many at Bramall Lane.

Sheffield United drew their opening two league fixtures 0-0, and will return to action on Saturday with a trip to face Cardiff City in a 3pm kick-off.

Cody Drameh loan signing doesn’t bode well for Femi Seriki

Seriki went down injured in Sheffield United’s midweek win over Blackburn Rovers in the EFL Cup, although he did finish the game.

There are no indications that he is set to be out long-term just yet, but this interest in signing Drameh does hint at a potential issue.

The pair are similar players that can operate as both a full-back or a wing-back, which makes him an obvious option for the Blades if they need to bolster their backline.

If they can convince Drameh to step down to the Championship, then he could be a solid option to have in the squad this season, regardless of Seriki’s fitness.
