Sheffield United midfielder Rouse signs new deal | OneFootball

Sheffield United midfielder Mollie Rouse has signed a contract extension with the club.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Blades this afternoon.

It has been reported that the 27-year-old is now staying at Bramall Lane until summer 2028.

Rouse joined Sheffield United from American Gainbridge Super League club Spokane Zephyr last summer. She went on to make 21 appearances for The Blades in Barclays WSL2 in which she scored one goal. Rouse performed well across the campaign and she landed the club’s Women’s Players’ Player of the Year award.

There is much more to come from the midfielder and Sheffield United have moved quickly to retain her services for an extended period.

After signing on again with The Blades, Rouse said “It was like a no-brainer for me. For me, it’s more about what the club is planning on doing rather than what happened last season, and I think with the new facilities, the new plan in place, the drive to push on, that definitely enticed me to talks of extending my contract.

“I also love living in Sheffield, the small parks, the girls, the staff, everything came together, and I just thought it was a no-brainer.”
