Sheffield United's Tyler Bindon had a message for Sheffield Wednesday ahead of the Steel City derby.
Sheffield United’s Tyler Bindon has revealed he is looking forward to the Steel City derby next weekend, with the Blades potentially having the opportunity to send Sheffield Wednesday down to League One.
The Owls entered administration in October, and they have endured a truly miserable campaign, with relegation to the third tier of English football bein an inevitability for some time.
Sadly for all connected to Wednesday, that could be confirmed next weekend, if they haven't had it confirmed already, at the home of their bitter rivals Sheffield United as well to rub salt in the wounds.

The Blades know that a victory at Bramall Lane will officially confirm Wednesday’s relegation, so it’s likely to be a party atmosphere for the hosts in a game that they will fully expect to win.
Of course, Chris Wilder will only be focused on his team, and after Andre Brooks’ 90th minute winner at Portsmouth on Saturday, Sheffield United will still feel they have a chance of reaching the play-offs.
So, the focus for the players and the boss will be on picking up three points to close that gap to sixth-place, but derby games are always exciting occasions.
And, when speaking to BBC Sheffield after the hard-fought win at Fratton Park, Bindon shared his excitement ahead of the clash, as the defender also had a message for Wednesday.
“Everyone in the squad is really looking forward to it," the New Zealand international said.
"It’ll be awesome to play them at home in front of everyone, so hopefully we can do that, get three points and send them on their way.”
Obviously, this is a game that Sheffield United will expect to win relatively comfortably when you consider the Owls have lost nine games in a row, and they only scored their first goal of 2026 against Millwall last time out.
So, most would agree that the Blades will win the game on their own patch, and it could be a case of how many they will score, as they look to record a double over their rivals following a 3-0 win at Hillsborough in November.

For Sheffield United fans, it’s a great opportunity to enjoy the demise of their rivals, and they will no doubt be rubbing their nose in it when the game is played on Sunday.
Yet, for Wilder, it’s just about getting another three points, and he will ensure the squad are focused on the task in hand, and don’t let this opportunity slip.
The win at Portsmouth keeps alive their hopes of finishing in the play-offs, but the six-point gap means they have little room for error over the next 14 games.
