All the latest takeover news surrounding Sheffield Wednesday
Sheffield Wednesday have just three games remaining in the Championship before life in League One begins.
The Owls have endured a disastrous campaign both on and off the pitch, but there is now some light at the end of the tunnel.
The Yorkshire outfit went into administration in October as a result of significant financial mismanagement under Dejphon Chansiri.
But a group led by David Storch, known as Arise Capital, have agreed to buy the Championship side, with ratification needed from the EFL to finalise the deal.
Henrik Pedersen’s side have won just once from their 43 league games so far this season, but fans are optimistic of a brighter future under new owners.
Here we take a look at all the latest news surrounding the takeover situation at Sheffield Wednesday…

According to Alan Nixon, Chansiri is facing the threat of a £7.4 million payment being needed if Sheffield Wednesday aren’t sold.
The Thai businessman has caused a lot of headaches during this takeover process, with the Owls at risk of a 15 point penalty deduction for next season.
It’s been reported that the around £20 million being paid to buy the club is not enough to satisfy the EFL’s rules regarding paying creditors at a rate of 25p on the pound, with the money owed to Chansiri seen as a major stumbling block.
If this stumbling block is not overcome, and a deal to buy the Yorkshire outfit ultimately collapses, then the former Sheffield Wednesday owner will have to pay a penalty of £7.4 million if the club goes under.

It has been reported by Alan Nixon that Chansiri has made a U-turn on his inaction surrounding the debt owed to him by the next Sheffield Wednesday owners.
Storch released a statement earlier this month in which he claimed there had been no contact from the Thai businessman regarding potentially writing down, or restructuring, the money owed to him.
But it is now understood that he has made contact with Arise Capital, which could begin a dialogue that helps prevent a 15 point deduction penalty for next season.
It remains to be seen whether an agreement can be reached, but it provides some optimism that discussions are now being held.

Former Everton CEO Keith Wyness has urged the EFL to waive the 15 point penalty heading Sheffield Wednesday’s way, if an agreement can’t be made with Chansiri, as it would unfairly punish the club.
He believes the EFL will want to consistently apply their rules, but he’s claimed that the Owls would be punished for the actions of a bad owner, and that they deduction shouldn’t be applied.
"The EFL will probably say that this is the way that they want to apply the rules consistently across all situations,” said Wyness, via Football Insider.
“However, this is punishing the club and not punishing a bad owner in Chansiri.
“That is the attitude that they have got to take.
“This is about supporting football clubs and rescuing football clubs, and now what they are doing is making that harder and harder.
“Although Chansiri did try hard at the start, he proved to be a bad owner in the end.
"He should not be rewarded or given any help with his investment.
"I’m afraid that the EFL has got to look at the rulebook and find a way to make an exception in this case, and that should be welcomed by other clubs in the EFL.
“That is the way forward, to support clubs themselves and make sure the punishment is not on the club but is on the owner that creates the problem."

Former Sheffield Wednesday manager Carlos Carvalhal has discussed the club ahead of the proposed takeover by Storch.
He believes that the Owls are still a giant despite the difficult year they’ve endured, which will include relegation to League One.
“I was with a club that is a giant, because they have a massive support, even (though) they will be in League One,” said Carvalhal, via Talksport.
“It’s a Premier club for me, but a big passion.
“I saw the last game.
“I think they played away, they have a full allocation. It’s unbelievable."
He later wrote on his personal X account: “SWFC, even in League One, will always be a giant…”
Championship, and potentially even the Premier League.
