Football League World has rounded up the latest news surrounding Sheffield Wednesday's takeover
Sheffield Wednesday’s next owner is still yet to be determined as a number of parties remain interested in the prospect.
The Owls were placed into administration by previous owner Dejphon Chansiri at the end of October, bringing an end to his decade-long rule of the Steel City side.
Since that moment, news has continuously swirled over potential takeovers, the club’s valuation and how many parties are truly in the mix.
With new details on the subject constantly emerging, Football League World takes a look at the latest news surrounding Sheffield Wednesday’s takeover.

With 11 interested parties including Mike Ashley reported to be weighing up a move to takeover Wednesday, the administrators have some work to narrow that list down to the most serious options.
According to the Sheffield Star, it has been confirmed by the administrators that the list of potential buyers will be narrowed down to a list of ‘serious and viable’ bidders in the coming weeks.
The 11 parties have already provided proof of £50m funds, which has allowed them access to sensitive data relating to the club’s finances.
Following this information, the administrators will be left with only the parties that are still fully onboard with pursuing a takeover, which will allow the process to move further.

With so many parties reportedly interested in taking over the Owls, supporters will be eagerly awaiting the moment when bids start flying in to take over the club.
They might not have to hold out for too much longer, with the Sheffield Star reporting that a soft deadline of November 21 is in place for official bids being tabled.
This will further indicate which parties are fully serious about taking over Sheffield Wednesday, with a negotiation period of two weeks planned before administrators hope to select a preferred bidder and exclusivity to one party on December 5.
It will be then that the Hillsborough faithful may finally learn who will be guiding them into the future and out of the Chansiri era.

All 11 interested parties haven’t been revealed, but one that has been is US Billionaire John McEvoy.
McEvoy has stakes in MLB franchise Colorado Rockies and NHL side Nashville Predators, with an investment in football his next potential venture.
It was recently reported by the Sheffield Star that he travelled to the UK to receive a tour of Hillsborough and the Middlewood training base.
This isn’t a privilege uniquely bestowed upon him though, as another US group have also received a private viewing of Wednesday’s bases.
