Brentford head coach Keith Andrews has opted for a strong starting XI for this afternoon’s FA Cup third round tie against Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough (3pm kick-off GMT).

The Bees are looking to arrest a run of three successive seasons where they have been knocked out at this stage, while the game provides a break from the second-tier relegation battle for the Owls, who are currently on -7 points following two separate deductions.

Hákon Valdimarsson starts behind a back four of Aaron Hickey, Sepp van den Berg, Ethan Pinnock and Rico Henry.

Jordan Henderson, Mathias Jensen and Mikkel Damsgaard form a highly experienced midfield three, while Keane Lewis-Potter, Reiss Nelson and Romelle Donovan are the three players up top.
