The last thing Sheffield United needed in their attempt to get a result at Anfield was for their keeper Ivo GrbiÄ to gift Liverpool a goal, but that is exactly what has happened.
The Blades had started relatively well against the league leaders, fashioning some early chances, but all of their good work was for nothing when Darwin NĂșñez charged down Ivo GrbiÄ in the 17th minute leading to the opening goal.
GrbiÄ had all the time in the world and NĂșñezâs press was not the hardest, but the Croatian keeper still conspired to hit the Reds striker. He could only chase back in vain as the ball trickled into the net.
It could be a long night for Chris Wilderâs men.
