Sidny Lopes Cabral is set to leave Benfica for Trabzonspor, with travel planned on Wednesday to Türkiye for medical tests and a four-year contract, Record writes.

Benfica have agreed the transfer terms for the winger, with the player’s agreement with the Turkish club virtually completed in recent hours.

Lopes Cabral joined Benfica in January from Estrela da Amadora for about six million euros. He struggled for regular minutes and is now poised to depart for a sum higher than his arrival fee.

Estrela retained 10% of his rights, a clause expected to yield close to one million euros given a fee in the region of 10 million euros.

Trabzonspor, third in last season’s Turkish league, had monitored the player for some time and accelerated talks to finish the deal before the 2026 World Cup. Club officials travelled to Portugal to conclude negotiations swiftly.

The Cape Verde international is expected to leave his national team camp to formalise the switch, then head to the United States of America for the finals with the Blue Sharks.
