Gustavo Hamer and Harrison Burrows could be departing Bramall Lane this month.
Sheffield United midfielder Gustavo Hamer is reportedly interested in a move to Trabzonspor, while defender Harrison Burrows has also been linked with joining the Dutchman before the end of the January transfer window.
Hamer’s development comes from Fotospor, who have also reported that the Blades would be interested in sanctioning his departure if the right price came their way.
Meanwhile, defender Burrows could also be leaving the Steel City before the end of the month to Trabzonspor, with the Yorkshire Post previously reporting that Sheffield United had rejected a £3.5m bid for his services, demanding £5m.
It wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Blades duo depart the club during the January transfer window given both of their game-time has been slashed in recent times under Chris Wilder.
Hamer has failed to start any of his last three Championship games, while he was an unused substitute in their 2-1 victory at Stoke City at the end of December 2025.
Likewise, Burrows has been in and out of the team, starting only one of his last five league outings and regressing since his impressive showings last term that helped the club reach the play-off final.
It would present Sheffield United with a glorious opportunity to get further funds into the coffers, which could then be used on additions for the rest of the month to transform the squad and help them push towards the play-offs come May.
And it appears these exits could become a reality in the coming weeks, given the latest updates.

Sheffield United may well be advancing in exit deals for Gustavo Hamer and Harrison Burrows during the January transfer window, with the duo touted for moves to Turkish giants Trabzonspor.
As per a report by native outlet Fotospor, the Dutch midfielder is keen on an exit to Papara Park, while the Blades would reportedly be ready to sell if the price is right, after the Yorkshire outfit rejected Trabzonspor’s original proposal.
Hamer is a player Trabzonspor have been targeting for the last six months. They held transfer talks to sign Hamer during the summer window, while they were rumoured in October 2025 to be returning for the playmaker at the turn of 2026.
Meanwhile, Burrows could also be making the jump over Turkey after seeing his minutes under Chris Wilder dwindle in recent weeks.
It was reported by the Yorkshire Post that the Blades had turned down a £3.5m offer from the Turkish outfit, with the Blades only willing to part ways if they receive a £5m bid.
And it is believed Trabzonspor could return with a higher offer, as they desperately search for an addition of a left-back for the second half of their Süper Lig campaign.

Gustavo Hamer’s slow start to the 2025-26 campaign could be a leading factor for Sheffield United considering a January exit, while his inability to break into the starting XI under Chris Wilder recently may now be enough to see them push a move forward and earn some much-needed funds.
Not to mention that Hamer is himself interested in a move over to Turkey, so the Blades shouldn’t be willing to keep a player on who doesn’t have the full desire to remain in the Steel City and drag the club up the second-tier standings.
While he has been one of Sheffield United’s most prized Championship assets in seasons gone by, his lack of impact on the first-team this campaign could be a sign that he needs a change of environment to get back to his best, while Wilder himself has admitted that Hamer could well depart the club before the 2nd February deadline.
With Burrows, he has fallen behind Sam McCallum in the pecking order at left-back, and did himself no favours to get back into Wilder’s thinking after being part of a defence that shipped four goals to Mansfield Town in the third-round of the FA Cup.
After a hugely impressive campaign last season that helped the club go all the way to the play-off final, Burrows may also be debating moving on and having much higher first-team prospects away from Bramall Lane.
But regardless of their current struggles for regular first-team minutes, Sheffield United would be losing crucial depth ahead of a relentless schedule of Championship action.
The Blades would be taking an almighty risk of being left significantly weaker by these exits, if they happen, so they will have to ensure they spend the incoming funds both quickly and wisely to secure ample enough replacements and ensure the squad remains well-equipped enough to get involved in the promotion conversation come May.
