The ex-Crystal Palace owner and talkSPORT pundit has long been outspoken against the former Celtic boss, who stepped down from his position almost two weeks ago during his second spell in charge.
When questioned about Celtic’s current search for a new manager, Jordan didn’t miss the chance to criticise the Irishman, stressing that the club should avoid making a hasty appointment just to fill the vacancy.
Speaking on talkSPORT about Celtic’s managerial position, Jordan said: “Have they got a wonderful, stand-out candidate that they must have? One that ticks all the boxes, and they’ve done their due diligence, and they’re entirely confident that he’s the way forward. If they haven’t, what’s the rush?”
“You’ve got somebody in [Martin O’Neill] that the fans are responding to. More importantly, the players are responding, even though they got beaten in the Europa League in the midweek game – but that’s the nature of the beast.”

Jordan added: “They’re winning the games that they previously weren’t; there’s a general feeling of well-being around the club after they got rid of Toxic Ted and his Honda Civic. So with all that in mind, what’s the hurry? If you’ve got a brilliant candidate.”
Meanwhile, bookmakers have listed Rodgers among the leading contenders to take over from the embattled Daniel Farke at Leeds United.

Following a promising return to the English top flight, the 49ers Enterprises-owned side have struggled lately, managing only two wins in their past seven matches, leaving Farke as the frontrunner to be the next manager down south to be dismissed.
Reports earlier this week suggested that several Saudi Arabian clubs had tempted Rodgers to weigh up a move to the Middle East, while he was also linked with the Wolves job – a position now expected to go to Middlesbrough boss Rob Edwards.

In Celtic’s search to replace the Irishman, three main candidates have come to the forefront. Columbus Crew boss Wilfried Nancy, who has surpassed Bodo/Glimt’s Kjetil Knutsen as the bookies frontrunner and Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna, who is still being considered.

Since making his return to the Hoops, interim boss Martin O’Neill has brought stability domestically to the club, securing three victories in four matches, highlighted by consecutive 4-0 home victories over Falkirk and Kilmarnock.
