Leicester enter the 33rd and final day without a signing, but late business could change that before 7pm. According to LeicesterMercury.co.uk, up to six moves are being explored after injuries and sales.
Divine Mukasa looks likeliest, with a loan agreed with Manchester City and the teenager weighing up the switch. The attacking midfielder has been productive for Man City’s youths and made six senior appearances this season. With Jordan James and Aaron Ramsey out, he can also cover up front.
Joe Aribo has been linked, with the Southampton midfielder appearing surplus. City need a deeper option after Boubakary Soumare’s sale, Hamza Choudhury’s injury and uncertainty over Harry Winks. He has seven appearances this term and was influential in Saints’ promotion two years ago.
At centre-back, Wout Faes has gone, Jannik Vestergaard is injured and Caleb Okoli is suspended. Without additions, Ben Nelson and Bade Aluko would likely start against Birmingham. Jamaal Lascelles has been linked, though fitness is a concern after only 19 minutes this season and an ACL injury last season.
A goalkeeper move is possible, with one West Ham signing perhaps seeking minutes for Denmark’s World Cup bid. City are among those linked with Mads Hermansen. Jakub Stolarczyk’s form has dipped since injury.
A striker could yet arrive. Mukasa could offer cover up front, though supporters want a number nine to challenge Jordan Ayew and Patson Daka. Winks has six months left, so a sale today is possible, although he may be kept until June.
