Manchester United are working on signing Swedish teenager sensation Kevin Filling, with talks currently ongoing.
The Premier League giants have developped a knack for poaching some of the most promising youngsters in Europe and the rest of the globe, and their next acquisition could arrive from the Norse.
According to Sky Sport Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg, Man Utd are in concrete negotiations over Filling’s transfer.
The 16-year-old is a Vasteras native of Senegalese origins. He began his career at his hometown club, before joining AIK’s youth ranks in 2023. The striker shortly turned pro, and has been a permanent member of the first team since the summer of 2025.
Filling has already made 10 appearances this season, albeit mostly coming off the bench, and managed to score three goals in the process. He has also been representing Sweden across various age groups, including the U18.

Plettenberg adds that the teenager’s current market valuation is circa €3 million. In addition to Man Utd, the journalist reveals that several Bundesliga players have expressed their interest in the player.
Nevertheless, United’s Director of Recruitment, Christopher Vivell, will be looking to prevail over the competition, as he has done on several occasions since joining the club in 2024.
The German has helped MUFC sign a host of exciting wonderkids, including Enzo Kana-Biyik, Harley Emsden-James, and, most recently, Charlie Hardy.
Although he’s been a regular feature for AIK’s first team, Filling is unlikely to join Man Utd’s senior squad, as he might be deemed too young and inexperienced for Ruben Amorim’s side.
After all, if Joshua Zirkzee is struggling for playing time these days, what chance does the 16-year-old have to earn playing time, especially in the absence of European football and the Carabao Cup?
Nevertheless, Filling would be given the opportunity to hone his skills at Carrington while representing either the U18 or U21 side and compete in a less stressful environment.
