FC Porto have signed Brazilian forward Soraya França on loan from São Paulo until the end of 2026/27. The club said in a statement that the 29-year-old will wear number 15 and this is her first move abroad.

She has previously represented América FC, Clube Náutico Capibaribe, União Desportiva Alagoana, SC Recife, Chapecoense, Avaí/Kindermann, Associação Atlética Napoli, Atlético Mineiro and São Paulo.

Her honours include one Campeonato Alagoano in 2016, two Pernambucanos in 2017 and 2018, the Taça Cidade do Paulista in 2018, the Campeonato Catarinense in 2019 and two Campeonatos Mineiros in 2021 and 2022.

França said she is happy and motivated, calling the move a major step and describing Porto as a giant she could not refuse.

She added that her first impressions are as good as they could be, and she promised maximum commitment.

She noted she knows the men’s side better, citing Pepê and Gabriel Mec, and said Porto games are widely watched in Brazil so she already followed the club.
