Rangers are reportedly working hard behind the scenes on a number of transfer fronts and one of the names that simply refuses to go away is Motherwell’s Lennon Miller. With a lot of interest building in and around Ibrox regarding new arrivals this summer it seems the club could be preparing a significant move for the 17-year-old midfielder. The chatter surrounding a potential offer in excess of £8 million has not been confirmed officially by the club but the noise is growing and the links are far from going cold.
What is most intriguing here is not just the price tag being mentioned but the long-standing connection Rangers have had with Miller. He has been linked with a move to Ibrox more than once over the past year and while no deal ever materialised it is now starting to feel a little more serious. According to recent updates from Ibrox Noise, a previous offer of around £2.5 million was turned down outright and that could be the cue for Rangers to up the ante significantly.
There is also the fact that the club is said to be preparing several new offers this summer as they look to revamp the squad and push for major silverware next season. Ibrox Noise recently reported that Miller remains high on the list and with other big clubs circling Rangers may feel it is now or never. Whether this is a signal of real intent from the board or just strong interest remains to be seen but the links are not fading.
What is absolutely certain is that Rangers are serious about bringing in quality and youth with Miller ticking both boxes. The buzz has only grown with fresh updates from Ibrox Noise suggesting a blockbuster few weeks at Ibrox in terms of deals and activity. Meanwhile an external authority source confirms Bundesliga sides are also sniffing around which only raises the stakes for Rangers.
Miller could end up being one of the biggest transfers of the summer window and while nothing is yet confirmed the signs are pointing in one very exciting direction for the blue half of Glasgow.
